Get help right away by phone
Our 24-hour Nurse Line allows members to help themselves and their families to health information they need, whenever they need it, seven days a week including holidays. And they can use it as often as they like, always at no charge.
Registered nurses are always ready to help a mother decide whether her child can wait until morning to see a doctor. They can provide information on treating a minor illness or injury at home. Or they can provide referrals to community-support resources or support groups when they are needed. All it takes is a toll-free phone call.
What happens when you call?
- You will be asked about your health problem.
- If the symptoms described are serious, the nurse will recommend a visit to the physician, urgent care or the emergency department. In the event of a true emergency, you will be instructed to call 911 or your local emergency number
- If the symptoms described are not serious, the nurse can give instructions for care at home. Later, the nurse might call back to make sure the problem is being resolved.
- If your symptoms match the conditions treated by Marshfield Clinic's Care My Way®, you'll be transferred to a nurse practitioner.
