Clinical Practice Guidelines

Last Updated on May 22, 2021

Clinical practice guidelines for chronic conditions (ADHD, asthma, COPD, depression, diabetes, heart failure, hypertension, lipid management, nicotine dependence)

Security Health Plan has adopted the Institute of Clinical Systems Improvement (ICSI) guidelines to ensure our members receiving high-quality care. These guidelines are intended to be a reference tool for health care professionals when determining the care needs of their patients who are Security Health Plan members. ICSI guidelines help provide an analytical framework for the evaluation and treatment of patients. The guidelines are reviewed annually to assure that they support the quality improvement tool, Healthcare Effectiveness Data and Information Set (HEDIS). Security Health Plan uses HEDIS to identify which of our members have already received the important care they need and which members are in need of care. The guidelines  can be found on our website.
